Prahova Valley Opening Hours & Prices

Check Prahova Valley opening hours and prices for 22 attractions in one place: castles, museums, cable cars, gondolas and family attractions. Search by name or town, compare the published information, then open the official source before you travel. Where a current figure is not clearly published, we say so rather than estimate it.

Peleș Castle in Sinaia, one of the Prahova Valley attractions listed with opening hours and prices
Independent travel guide: Visit Valea Prahovei does not operate these attractions, sell their tickets, organise tours or provide transport. Prices and schedules are collected for trip planning only; the attraction or operator remains the final source for admission and operating status.
Important for autumn 2026

Annual closures affect Peleș and Pelișor

Do not build an autumn itinerary around the two royal castles without checking their annual conservation closures first.

Pelișor: closed 28 September–3 November 2026.
Peleș: closed 2 November–1 December 2026.
Winter 2026–2027: complete ski-pass grids and opening dates are not yet treated here as confirmed until operators publish them.

How to read this page

The table keeps prices in Romanian lei (RON), the currency used by the operators. We do not convert them into EUR because exchange rates change.

Timed ticketsPeleș and Pelișor use timed-entry tickets. A closing time is not the same as the last admission time.
Mountain liftsPublished hours are a planned schedule. Wind, fog, maintenance or technical conditions can stop service.
Reduced ticketsAge, student, senior or disability discounts follow each operator’s rules and may require supporting documents.
Final checkUse the official-source link in the attraction row on the morning of your visit, especially for cable cars and seasonal attractions.

Castles and museums

Closing time is not the same as last admission

For museums and castles, check the last entry, closed days, ticket circuit and any timed-entry rule before you leave.

Peleș & Pelișor

Timed tickets and different annual closures

Peleș publishes last individual entry at 16:00. Pelișor publishes last entry at 16:15. Their autumn conservation closures do not fall on the same dates.

Cantacuzino Castle

Choose the visit circuit before you buy

The adult price differs between castle + gallery + park and castle + park. English-language arrangements can also differ from the standard Romanian guided schedule, so check the operator if a guided visit matters to you.

Cantacuzino Castle guide

George Enescu

Last entry and monthly free-admission rule

The memorial house is closed on Mondays and publishes last entry at 16:30. Its official page also publishes a monthly free-admission rule.

Bucegi Reserve Museum

The official website currently shows two different schedules

One official museum page lists May–September 09:00–19:00, while another official page lists June–August 10:00–18:00 and September–May 09:00–17:00. Confirm directly before visiting.

Posada Hunting Museum

Two visit circuits, two prices

The ground-floor visit and the full ground-floor + upper-floors circuit are separate ticket products. The museum publishes last entry one hour before closing.

Sinaia Casino & Știrbey Museum

The combined ticket is clearer than the Casino-only visit

The current Știrbey ticket page publishes the museum and combined Casino + Știrbey prices. Casino visiting times can depend on tours and events, so confirm your date directly.

Planning rule: if a timed visit matters to your day, book or confirm it before building the rest of the itinerary around it.
Cable cars & mountain lifts

A published timetable does not guarantee operation

Mountain transport can stop or change because of wind, fog, maintenance or technical conditions. The operator’s same-day status takes priority over this table.

Bușteni

Bușteni–Babele Cable Car

Tuesday starts later because maintenance is built into the published programme. The current timetable lists the last ascent from Bușteni at 16:00 and the last descent at 17:00.

Sinaia

Gondola 1000–1400

The current gondola page publishes the ticket prices shown in the table. Check SinaiaGo on the day for the operating status of the mountain system.

Operator status →

Azuga

Azuga Gondola

The operator publishes a 09:00–16:00 daily timetable and several ticket-product variations. We do not infer a single fare where the product combination is not explicit.

Azuga travel guide

Predeal

Clăbucet Chairlift

The operator publishes a later Tuesday start and explicitly warns that weather may change the programme.

Predeal travel guide

Same-day check: open the operator website before you travel uphill. A timetable is a planned operating window, not a weather guarantee.
Ski areas

What is published for winter — and what is not yet confirmed

Do not treat a previous winter’s ski-pass price as the 2026–2027 price. This page keeps older-season figures clearly labelled until each operator publishes the new season.

Reduced tickets

Bring proof for age or eligibility

Reduced admission is controlled by each attraction or operator. The table summarises published categories, but the official ticket rules decide which document is accepted.

Peleș & Pelișor

Seniors, pupils, students and European Youth Card holders have separately published rates. Other free-admission categories require the documents specified by the museum.

Cantacuzino Castle

Children and several other categories have separate published prices. Check the exact circuit because the admission product affects the fare.

Mountain transport

Bușteni, Predeal and Sinaia publish child fares with age rules. Carry proof of age where the operator requires it.

Local museums

Student, pupil, senior and group rates vary by institution. Do not assume the same category definition applies at every museum.

Method & official sources

How this English opening-hours and prices guide is checked

We prioritise official attraction, operator and institution pages. If a current public figure cannot be verified, the table says “confirm directly” rather than filling the gap with an estimate.

Information we do not present as certain without a fresh confirmation

  • a stable Casino Sinaia standalone visiting timetable for every date;
  • current Rhein & CIE Cellars visit packages without a confirmed reservation offer;
  • a stable tourist timetable or admission fee for Caraiman Monastery;
  • current public opening hours and ticket prices for the small museums in Trăisteni and Teșila;
  • complete 2026–2027 ski opening dates and tariff grids before operators publish them.

Found the price? Check the source once more before you go

Use this page for fast comparison, then open the official source for the attraction you plan to visit. Same-day information matters most for cable cars, mountain lifts and seasonal attractions.
